Curriculum
A curriculum is the knowledge and skills that children are expected to learn as they progress through the schooling system. We follow the National Curriculum, which sets out the programmes of study and attainment targets for all subjects. For information on the curriculum content, click on the image below. For more information from the teachers, please click on the links below.
Brockswood is an inclusive school where we focus on the well-being and progress of every child and where all members of our community are of equal worth. We believe all children are valued individuals with unique interests and strengths and have equal rights of access to a broad and balanced curriculum and to be included in all aspects of school life. If you wish to know more about our approach, please refer to our Accessibility Plan, Equality Information and Objectives document and SEND Information Report.
At our school, we teach about all religions so that children can gain an appreciation of people in their community and their beliefs. As a parent/carer, you can withdraw your child from all or part of RE.
For more information on the curriculum, we invite all parents to meet with teachers formally during the autumn and spring terms at Parents’ Evening as well as an informal meeting at Open Evening in the summer term.
